Eclipse day 12-San Sebastian

Drove to San Sebastián via St Jean de Luz.

The best way in is taking exit 3 from the big toll highway to avoid the corniche.

Another large retablo. Church in St. Jean.
Lovely organ and ship. Possibly a maritime oriented church due to many old fishing ports in the area.
Grande plage in St. Jean.

Many children in what looks like summer camp or day camp. Multiple camps each with different toys. Did not look like the kids were doing much swimming.

Another camp.
The plage is quite large.
Goes even further.
Crepe snack.

Crepe with Sucre and limon

Buckwheat crepe with piperade and undercooked egg. Both really excellent (not the egg).

Our hotel bedroom.

We are in a converted convent Hotel Convento Zenit.

Our main room. Already trashed.
Inner bar area.
Playa in San Sebastián.
More.

Similar size to St. Jean although San Sebastian is a much much bigger city.

The Don and Poncho.
The old town pre tapas hour.
Pintxos.

We have visited this bar on our previous two visits. Appears to have been upgraded with more tables now and nice table service. Still very busy.

Brava, tomato salad.
Interior
Waffle chili con carne.

A rather surprising pintxo that was surprisingly good.

Bao with pulled pork and rasberry aioli. Interesting interpretation.
