I am so sorry to hear that Sharon has been so sick! I have been following your blog but  I have been really sick with a cold and cough but thankfully I wasn’t on vacation so haven’t written again.  I am finally feeling better.  I really feel for her (and you) getting sick on vacation is a total bummer.  I’m sure you are trying to make the best of it but it isn’t the same if you aren’t sharing the experience with Sharon.  I hope she is feeling better soon.   Doesn’t sound like anyone is signing up because of the food.  Allan eats salt free meals  because of his high blood pressure so that wouldn’t be wasted on him.  I would be carrying my salt shaker in my hand bag just in case as I have extremely low blood pressure and need to have salt.  We are like Jack Sprat etal…  Please tell Sharon I am thinking of her.   Let me know how she is doing.   Ellen Ellen Hauskens, CPA Iarussi, Gelhaus & Hauskens, Inc. 1600 South Main Street, Suite 385 Walnut Creek, CA   94596 (925) 820-1322 voice (925) 820-2268 fax  CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE — PRIVILEGED AND CONFIDENTIAL This communication and any accompanying documents are confidential and privileged. Ellen, Good that you too are feeling better. Sharon is on the mend, a full pharmacy, which she carries, has turned out essential. We do appreciate your concern and good wishes.

Thanks for your update. Glad Sharon is at least doing better than she was. You’ll have to miss your New York adventure, but at least Rhode Island is closed to New York so you could presumably y’all get back there if there was something special going on. Glad you got to do the dinner. Thanks for the write ups on all the folks very impressive. Both your write up and the people you met. Your people right ups are definitely on a par with your geological underwater stories! Don’t forget if you are up for it to pop up early when you go underthe Verrazano Narrows bridge— It’s a fun way to enter into New York Harbor. I’m just having my Friday night El Cerrito dinner right now takeout of course! Dee

You may recall that I now get all my medical advice from the Amazing Dr. Pol. He is often called in to treat animals with respiratory infections, shortly after they’ve been delivered to their new owners. He attributes the condition to a lowered immune system due to the stress of travel and unfamiliar environments.

    He calls it ‘shipping fever’.

Hope that a good dinner was restorative for both of you and that the journey to Rhode Island is straightforward. What form of transportation from NY to Rhode Island?

    • boogkb says:

Yes, dinner was restored for Sharon with a high protein. Will not talk about Mine.

From boat to Penn Station, Amtrak to Rhode Island Providence, and then car rental to tower.
