Nice cool clear morning. QB still not recovered. Legs and feet. Walking and touristing to a minimum today.

Castle with Roman artifacts

Exposition center with artifacts
Poor lunch of… it does not matter!
Dinner at the Parador, good quality place. Very few if any good restaurants in Zamora. Took a walk and did some research. Lots and lots of bars/cafeterias but not many restaurantes like we found in other decent sized cities.

Did some planning for the remainder of our travel time. All will be revealed as it develops or gets set in mud.

I like scallops. It’s okay to chop the feet off and feed them to the cats.
QB removed the knees and fed them to me.
The kneeling guy in the tapestry us reminiscent of a Christmas elf – any clue as to the myth? Further detail on scallop prep for dinner? Hope that healing to endure walking continues for Sharon.
No on the kneeling guy. We discussed but either a joker or the boatman. The tapestries as incredibly detailed and stuffed with people and very little background. A few has elaborate borders. Certainly the best thing we saw in the modest, by large city standards, cathedral.
Scallops were grilled. Shells blackened. Soaked in butter/oil and then grilled. They were perfect. When we ordered them I ask the server, “ten scallops for 16 euro?” Must be very small”. No he replied, very large. He made a hand gesture which turned out to be the size of the shell. They were excellent as were the DOP chickpeas prepared with mushrooms and some bits of ham. QB would have preferred them a bit dryer but certainly good both ways.
