Dinner last night inedible. Frozen paella. We had to tell the owner it was good and we were not hungry. Casa was freezing. North of us very disappointed.

    Aarghh -Sharon’s bruising looks so painful and likely to swell more. Thank goodness for your decision to go directly to Salamanca rather than walking the path today. Hope you are already ensconced in a lovely room with comforts and warmth.

    Nice additional pics, especially the representationof the Silver Way under the overpass and the stone marker (level of wear looks more neolithic than medieval).

    Indeed it does. Was reflecting on appearance vs actual period, being reminded of the many neolithic standing stones which Judith & I saw in nearby Evora, Portugal– this stone is very reminiscent (although smaller), despite having stood a mere 2000+ years.

    Lithic means stone. Hence the 3 Stone Ages. Paleo, meso and neo. But you already know this.
