Sunday 17-18-19 September
Oakland, Barcelona, Pamplona ( hotel Palacio Guendelain) Roncesvalles.
Fly to Barca, train to Pamplona and overnight there, stay for tapas, then to Roncesvalles by taxi.
We are off again to sack the Camino. We go not as paid professionals – those who were paid to have their patrons sins extirpated – but as travelers.
During the previous trip (seven years ago) much of the history of the camino and towns was explored and explained on the blog. We do not intend to repeat the history part for these posts.
Breakfast
For the hard core there is a search box on the blog in the upper right. Put in the city where we are staying and the blog from the previous trip should appear magically. It is all magic.
Pinxos lunch

Our Pamplona hotel. A real gem. Wonderful old casa well run.

Off into the sunset… which one of you is piglet?
Both
I am so envious! and hungry too!
Understandably
Happy sacking! Look forward to pics and details as you sack and pillage.
Unfamiliar with the pinchos. Is that fried fish on top? Cheese?
Eggplant. This place has an interesting variety. Cheese below the eggplant.
The cheese looks very interesting. Much of Spain is only open on the weekends but closed on Sunday.
I have ordered the sheep to make the yogurt. You might wish to bring the local honey. Hugo is ready to serve as chief sheep herder. He only requires some head scratching from QB.
QB says she is prepared to do her duty
Good. Then we should have some very nice yogurt.
What are the two round things on QB’s plate of grees which loo like veyy thick crepes?
Toasted rounds of goat cheese
grees? Greens? Grease? I don’t see any crepes. Is there something missing? After Pooh, I see 3 photos, not of which contain a crepe-like object.
Comments are out of order. All on the first post. I wrote to Tom
