Sunday 12 June thunderstorms forecasted, one big one arrived

Taxi to monteriggione then the via back to Sienna.
Caught in big thunderstorm and had to hide in a barbeque pit.
Coffee on the trail by a nice person who built a testing place. He has carrier pigeons. Advised us to go the long way and we did. 13.9 miles into the return we grabbed a cab.
