Sunny a little cooler
Subway, train, and then bus to the start of the trail. Several hours of travel to get to there, there being the location of the first Oji shrine, at Takajiri, location of one of the five Grand shrines.

Figured out all the stops and tickets and started at the beginning of the trail.
A mountain trek of cornwallian difficulty. Vertical 1000+ feet, down a bit less, up very steep steps and trails… Point made.
Shrines, statutes, bodhisattvas along the path.
This is the land of unlimited water use. Great showers, baths, soaking tubs, and lots of water pressure.
