BSMnM Kennebunkport

Will stay here among the Bushies 41 for a few days. Not sure if an invite
will occur.

The first pic is of seafood house where we had dinner. Moules Marinara and
a 2 pound lobster, hard shell, not a shedder like was given to us by
Stewards in Bar Harbor. Outstanding.

The second is, of course, LL Bean of Freeport Maine. Open 24/7 Five
linked stores, three stories. In the town about 20 tastefully appointed
outlet stores. QB got a popcorn popper.

The remaining three are of Moody's, maybe the oldest continuous diner in the
USA. Nice blueberry pancakes for breakfast and then some time at the gift
shop. Extended family runs the restaurant, gift shop and motel, maybe
more. Interesting family organization structure – discussed it with one of
the grand daughters and great grand daughters. Tight pyramid.

Pancakes were very much the official American variety with Maple syrup. No
fussing, just good eats. Place started when Calvin Coolidge was still
President, 1926. Diner had wi-fi .

In Freeport stopped at either the best bakery or second best one of the
trip. "When Pigs can Fly". I think the best but QB undecided between this
and Premier Moison of Montreal.

Have put some items up directly on twitter. For those few interested one
can go to
http://search.twitter.com and then enter boogkb to see my postings
and some commentary by others.

Roads of New England not suitable for biking – terrible quality
infrastructure. Terrible. Have not been repaved this century and maybe not
last one either.

Orchard Beach, passed through, much like Myrtle Beach only a lot colder.

Beautiful big houses, views, yachts, sunset here in Kennebunkport.
